I'm Jo!

The body fascinate me! I have always been curious about health and wellbeing. I'm amazed by how the body functions, its performance, and its ability to adapt. My journey started when I became a chiropractic assistant. I wore many hats; From taking x-rays to client education, along with insurance. Working with the Doctor and client care, I gained a strong foundation in the body, knowledge of the spine, nervous system, and the importance of body awareness. I was considering going to Chiropractic school, all I knew was I wanted to work with clients and have a direct connection with helping their bodies function and their overall well-being.

When I found massage, I felt right at home! I became a certified massage practitioner in 2001. I was so hungry for knowledge I became nationally certified in 2007 and Board certified in 2016. I take pride in continually learning new techniques about the body, processes and health practices to better assist and holistically guide my clients toward healthier lifestyles.

Over my 20 years as a massage therapist I’ve come to strongly believe that, although our bodies fundamentally have the same parts, we DO NOT process all things the same such as, stress, injury, recovery, trauma, diet, etc. Because of this, I look at all aspects of clients to customize massages for their needs. When I work with clients, I use many modalities in energy and touch for each session along with educating and sharing wellness practices.

My passion encourages and educates my clients to lead a life of empowerment while teaching them to practice self-advocacy to help achieve overall health and happiness.

I am Board certified through NCBTMB (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). I have been a member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) since 2001. I have been a member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) since 2014.  I became an AMTA board member in 2019 and was nominated to represent Delaware at CVOP (Chapter Volunteer Orientation Program) for national convention in 2019.

I’d like to welcome Aimee Harding to Good Mojo Life. She is a massage student currently practicing Swedish massage soon to be a licensed massage therapist. She is extremely passionate about massage. Aimee stated, “I have been interested in massages since the early age of five and my inner child is so thrilled that I’m finally accomplishing my goal of being a part of the massage and bodywork field.” Aimee shows a strong desire for education and bringing new skills to clients. Aimee will be offering relaxation massage and reflexology. She has a reputation for patience and naturally caring for others which intuitively enhances the massage experience.  Aimee’s favorite pastime is to have Nerf gun battles with her family.  In her spare time, she likes to bake and loves a good binge-watching session of her favorite shows. When feeling creative she dabbles with drawing and painting.
